To help us focus on how to bring our writing to life, we acted out some of our stories with a partner! This helped us think of more details to add to our stories and it was fun seeing our small moments come to life!
Today Mrs. Hickel created a few counting by 5's hopscotches outside! We were so excited to practice counting by 5's on them. Next time you are playing outside, have your child draw a hopscotch counting by 2's, 5's, or 10's and they can count as they hop! We also saw a monarch butterfly in the garden! We will be adding all of our nightly light bulbs together to fill up a giant class one in the hallway! Let's see if we can beat our goal... We are off to a great start with 1,280 minutes in the first week! Way to go, readers!
Today we got to meet our fourth grade buddies in Ms. Bushman's class! We introduced ourselves and worked on "About Me" pictures together. We can't wait to do even more with the fourth graders throughout the year. This week we began our math stations. We used activities that we have learned together over the last few days and then went off in small groups to work on these activities together. Students used manipulatives like cubes, dice, and shapes to work in stations promoting counting, creating patterns, and experimenting with what else we can do with these math tools. |
