Mrs. Moehlmann stopped by yesterday to read a book to us! She read Pippa the Pumpkin Fairy and then let us keep it in our class library! We loved having a special reader! Parents and grandparents, please let me know if you would like to sign up to be a "mystery reader" one day!
Wow! Last Friday had lots of exciting things happening: -At our assembly, we focused on the Seven Habits! Our friend, Jackson, got chosen as one of the first grade contestants in "Seven Habits Feud!" It was so fun to cheer him on! -We went outside to have a school picture taken FROM A FIRETRUCK LADDER! We lined up to spell CONCORD and first grade made up the second "O" in their green shirts. There was even a drone camera flying around above us taking pictures. Can't wait to see how they turn out! -We met with our fourth grade buddies in Mrs. Bushman's class to talk about the "big rocks" in our life and how to prioritize them. We love doing activities with the fourth graders. Today we introduced our science unit by exploring nature a little bit and coming up with our own wonderings about nature! We learned that scientists wonder, experiment, and discover! After taking a little nature walk in the garden, we journaled about things we noticed or wondered. We couldn't let the warm weather go to waste! |
